This was a day outfit for visiting galleries and museums around Milan and also for shopping! I ensured the outfit was conservative as knew we were visiting the infamous Duomo in Milan centre, practical as would be a long day and comfy yet stylish at the same time.  My knock-off timberlands are very comfortable and make the outfit more casual.  I also took and wore a peachy nude blazer, which I got last year from Primark, to keep me warm but also a bit smarter during the day.

Last week, I was lucky enough to go to Milan, Italy for five days with my school as a trip with the textiles department.  I had the most amazing time there and thought I would share with you a few of my outfits whilst out there.  The Italian style had influenced and intrigued me, as I noticed that the main trend whilst being in Milan was smart garments/outfit paired with trainers.  This popular street style was worn by most members of the public and I thought made an outfit look classy but relaxed and comfortable at the same time.  After realising that I had bought way too many outfits with me for only a 5 day trip, I styled this outfit with what was available (photos were taken on our adorable balcony by my room-mate - she's the best!)...

How would you style trainers to look smart? What are your favourite trainers- Converse? Nikes? New Balance?

After social media sites flood with Moschino's new capsule collection by Jeremy Scott, it's definitely one collection that made it's mark - a pink one to be specific!  Taking the main inspiration from the iconic Barbie doll, Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 15 capsule collection was full of pink garments and accessories.  And if you are lucky enough to fork out £100+ for a slogan t-shirt then it's your lucky day as you can buy it online now, at

This collection is all about the shades of hot pinks and magentas, with slogan tees and the Barbie-fied Moschino logo printed all-over every other item.  The accessories were perfectly matched with miniature biker jacket styles (pink as well of course), and the ideal selfie taking iphone case made to look like a Barbie mirror - amaaaaazing!

Is anyone else a massive fan of this collection?

Summer is now over and winter is soon on the horizon.  But first it's autumn which means wrapping up warm with chunky knitted jumps, heeled boots and oxblood coloured jeans.  A classic coat is perfect for keeping warm and stylish, and buying an oversized style allows you to layer as much as possible with jumpers, jersey tops, and scarves.  Since the high street is full of coats at the moment, it would only be appropriate to show you my favourites.  As you can see I love the duster style coat and these six from missguided and asos (didn't mean for them to all be from only two stores) are so gorgeous.

Which coat is your favourite?  What is your classic style?

This speckled grey dress is a must, especially in my wardrobe.   It's so easy to style and quick to put on and run out of the door looking half decent (even if you only woke up 10 minutes previous, haha!)  It has a speckled effect of many shades of grey. - making it a bit more interesting than a plain solid colour.  It's hopefully going to be perfect for A/W14. It's from Select and is so comfy to wear due to the knitted construction and lightweight feel.  I wore a long gold chain necklace with it, from Accessory Wednesday.  The necklace is tied off with a clasp embedded with diamant√© s and has two gold tassels, which is so gorgeous and different from any others out there.   I also threw on my trusty all-black converse, however a pair of bright wedges could be an alternative for a smarter occasion.

Be sure to check out Accessory Wednesday's website and facebook page - they even have a sale tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd) on their facebook page.

I am in love with the 'sports luxe' trend recently, and by pairing this striped detailed crop top with a jersey mini skirt fits the trend perfectly.  I also included my burgundy New Balance trainers which are super comfy and stylish as well!  Sport this look with a high sleek ponytail and you're good to go.

Do you like this trend?  How would you style a 'sports luxe' inspired outfit?

I think I going to make a new series called 'What To Wear For..' with this post being the first instalment.  This is the ideal topic for this post because as you are reading this I am currently on holiday in France with my family for a 'European Getaway'.  This series will feature multiple outfits (like this one) with different alternatives or maybe an outfit I wore for a certain occasion which would be appropriate for this series.

Any ideas are welcome - so fire away!

A classic white shirt is a wardrobe must-have... a must-have that I don't have!  In my last blog post (here) you can see I 'up-cycled' my dad's old white shirt which I styled with red platform heels and my trusty joni jeans.  However, I have always been searching for one and with the hype of autumn, which is just around the corner, more and more shops are beginning to sell them.  Below are some of my favourites from the high street at the moment.

Let me know which is your favourite from the above?  Or have you got one from another shop?  How do you style your white shirt?

I've been a bit behind on blog post recently but I have just been so busy plus I'm going on holiday next week so need to pack last minute!  I have been lusting over white shirts recently and at the moment I'm not planning on spend £40 on one.  So the next best thing ... dad's old shirt.  You may laugh but once styled I think it actually looks quite normal?!  It is a large so could be big enough for a shirt dress - if I was brave enough.  I paired it with my blue joni jeans from Topshop, a skinny snake printed belt from Primark and these gorgeous red platform heels from The Rainbow Club.

The Rainbow Club is an exclusive brand which offers a fantastic service.  They make beautiful ‘naked’ shoes in ivory satin – yes, traditionally when in white these shoes are perfect for Brides, but why let them have all the fun? So, you simply choose your favourite style of shoe (out of 30) and any colour you would like.  They can either be dyed to match a dress, a pantone number, a piece of jewellery or to match the colours from the catwalk this season. The choices are endless.  Your unique shoes are then passed through Rainbow Club’s very own in-house ‘Colour Studio’, where these beautiful shoes are transformed by hand-dying specialists bespoke for YOU.

The detail applied to the shoes is impeccable, even down to the blue rhinestone on the logo on the bottom of the shoe.  The glitter is gorgeous and seems long lasting as well.  Be sure to check out The Rainbow Club's website here and The Colour Studio link here.  They also have a twitter account as well to check up on a daily basis!

Would you wear your dad's old shirt?  How would you style these heels?

Ripped Jeans have been seen everywhere recently from the high street shops, such as Topshop and H&M to worldwide designers being seen on D&G and Ralph Lauren catwalk shows.  Its all about the tear, rip and ruin with jeans recently, and I've been loving it!  I've toyed with the idea a lot recently trying to find a pair of old jeans that I dont wear and ripping them up to be worn more - sounds weird doesn't it?! Being the first installment of a DIY series, I thought a simple and no-sew feature would be appropriate...

  1. Take any pair of old jeans - whether they have been collecting dust at the back of your wardrobe or nipped to the local charity shop to buy a pair for £2.50. The first thing you will need to do is make sure they fit; if they are a bit baggy, it doesn't matter - just means you're opting for the 'boyfriend' look.
  2. Take your pencil and mark on where you want the rips to be placed.  For this step I put my jeans on and stood in front of a mirror with multiple photos for inspiration and drew on faint lines.  I marked over them in a black biro just to make it clear where I was cutting .
  3. Cut.  Cut.  Cut. Make small snip on the lines previously made and rip to desired length.  Ripping at this stage provides a more 'authentic' look compared to cutting along the whole line.
  4. Now its time to pull the threads, so take your tweezers and begin to pull individual threads.  Pulling the horizontal lines (usually white threads) will create the frayed edge of the rip, whereas pulling at the vertical threads (blue) will create the white threads draping across the hole.
  5. Shake the jeans - preferably outside, to remove any loose threads that may appear to be attached, and your DIY ripped jeans are now complete!

Send photos of your DIY ripped jeans to the hashtag #inspirefashion01 on instagram, so I can see your designs.

I admit I am completely in love with the Kardashians, I mean who isn't - right?! They're constant Instagram uploads and TV show have got me completely hooked, and their individual styles are just so chic.  In this I have taken Kylie's icon style and made a look which i have created from clothes I already own.

images taken from google images, getty and instagram

sorry for the such bad quality - need to teach my brothers how to use a camera properly!

Kylie's street style is very casual and laid back which usually consists of a graphic tee, denim and checked shirt, paired with some chunky army or leather boots.  In my outfit I wore a Guns & Roses muscle tank tee, some denim burgandy acid wash shorts and a plaid shirt tied around my waist.  I chose the graphic tee of Guns & Roses as they are a rock band, which reflect Kylie's style quite well as she has been seen in graphic tops of wolves, skulls, other band tees and even supporting Kanye in multiple Yeezus merchandise tops.  The shirt i tied around my waist represents her laid back style and reflects her true street style as is quite popular in the fashion at the moment.  I accessorized this look with lots of rings, and my knock-off timberland boots.

Do you like Kylie's style?  Or are you team Kendall?
